CONFINED SPACE ENTRY

The DBB-SAVER was used to prevent the disassembly of two pipe spools and placing of blind flanges, as was done in the past to grant safe access to a confined space.

EXTREME LEAK RATE

The 1st isolation valve on the processing facilities site was passing heavily, which made safe work on the 2nd valve impossible. Greasing has been tried but failed to improve the situation...

PASSING VALVES HINDERS SAFE ACCESS TO PIG RECEIVER

Valve is passing on both 40” main line and 24” kicker line valves, which hinders client from opening the pig receiver safely and causes production loss.

SSIV &
RISER VALVE

The DBB-SAVER was used to safely isolate the platform from the pressurized 30” sea pipeline to safely execute works in a Turn Around. It was used to vacuum the section between the Sub Sea Isolation Valve (SSIV) and the Riser Valve.

SINGLE VALVE ISOLATION

The pipeline has a diameter of 56″ and a max. operating pressure of 100 bar. One of the valve stations was suffering from a severe passing single full-bore ball valve. Greasing has been tried multiple times but did not provide the desired effect, and the severe leakage persisted.

HOT WORK ON PRESSURE VESSEL

The DBB-SAVER was used to secure both inlet and outlet valves and their equalization bypasses, so four bleed points in total. These were all connected to a 100m-long temporary vacuum header system, delivered and installed by Valvetight.

REMOVAL OF BLIND FLANGE - 40" PIPELINE LNG SYSTEM

During preparations to integrate a new pipeline system in its LNG terminal infrastructure it was found that the primary block valve of the required tie-in point was passing LNG.

PASSING ON 1st VALVE OF DBB VALVE

The DBB-SAVER was used to perform work on equipment where the valve configuration was a classic Double Block & Bleed situation, in which the first block valve leaked 1,200 L/min. and work behind the DBB isolation could not be performed safely and was on hold.

HOT WORK BEHIND 36” SINGLE RISER VALVE

During a short maintenance stop on the L10-A complex, which is the central hub for the main subsea gas transport pipeline NGT, there were hot work activities planned on the riser platform...

TIE-IN BEHIND MULTIPLE ISOLATION POINTS

There were two tie-in pits dug out, and there were 5 single valve isolations with each valve having a bypass, there were in total 10 bleed points to simultaneously isolate. Because of the distance of 175 meters in between the clusters of valves, 2 DBB-SAVERs were deployed...
